Colours Caribbean is a registered non-profit organisation based in the Cayman Islands, dedicated to fostering a strong and visible community for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) individuals throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
Our mission is to advance a society free from criminalisation, discrimination, and harassment on the grounds of gender identity or sexual orientation by:
- Promoting equality for LGBTQIA+ individuals in Caribbean British Overseas Territories.
- Advocating for the decriminalisation of LGBTQIA+ individuals in the Caribbean and Latin America.
- Dismantling outdated and harmful Colonial Era legislation in the Caribbean.
Colours Caribbean has strived to advance the recognition of LGBTQIA+ rights as fundamental human rights and advocate for the decriminalisation, inclusion, and equality of LGBTQIA+ individuals throughout the Caribbean and Latin America for over 10 years. We host, organise and support events to facilitate the development of strategic approaches, strengthen visibility, deliver educational initiatives, and foster constructive dialogue concerning regional LGBTQIA+ matters.
If you’d like to contribute to our efforts or seek support for yourself or others, we encourage you to get in touch.
